Annie's Trip to the ER

After having a terrible night (awake and screaming in pain till 3:00 am) we went to get Annie up in the morning and noticed her right knee looked horribly deformed. We sent Molly and Lexie to church with our friends and took Annie to the Emergency Room. They did a quick x-ray which showed that her kneecap had been dislocated. They popped it back into place, gave us a prescription for a knee stabilizing brace, and sent us on our way. What we finally have realized, is that the snapping we've been feeling in her knee for several months, has actually been her kneecap snapping in and out of place every time we've gone to bend her knee.

We tried to get the knee brace on Monday, but since Annie has such skinny legs, they have to custom make one for her. We also need to see the orthopedist about this issue, but won't go until Thursday. Until then we are trying to just keep her knee bent so we don't have to risk another dislocation or more trauma and pain to her knee.
