4th of July

We were surprised at how cold it was today for our first 4th of July in Nebraska! We went to a ward breakfast at the park, then tried to go fishing at the lake by our house, but it got too cold and drizzly. We did manage to still have our little BBQ on our deck for dinner. We watched fireworks from our house and were amazed at all the displays we were able to see. "Big" fireworks are legal where we live, so all over the horizon we watched neighbors lighting off huge fireworks way up in the sky. Now we know we'll never need to fuss with trying to make it to an actual fireworks show! It was a fun day, but we were longing for some Texas heat!
