Thank You!

I am completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for our family this week!  I can barely keep up with reading all the comments and messages we are receiving.  We've had over 1,400 hits on our blog just this week, from friends in 44 states and 8 different countries!  (Our dear Aicardi Syndrome family spans the globe!)

I've received word of so many people remembering Annie in their prayers, many who are friends of our friends and don't even know us personally.  I know that Annie's name is being put on temple prayer rolls, and other friends are asking their church groups to remember her in prayer.  Many friends have shared pictures of Annie on Facebook and they have brightened my day and warmed my heart! Other friends have brought meals, sent gifts, and offered other services, for which we are most grateful. We are so touched by all the kindness and love that you show our family. 

We feel your prayers and they lift us and comfort us.  We are feeling more at peace about Annie's condition and have faith in the Lord's plan for her.  Justin and I reminded each other earlier today that we can do this.  We've done hard things in the past and we can do more difficult things in the future, because we know that Heavenly Father will sustain us. 

I remember when I was pregnant with Annie and the neurologist gave us the results of the MRI of Annie's brain while in utero.  It was a very grim prognosis for our unborn baby, but my very first thought was "I can do this; I can raise a child with severe medical needs".  We're trying to remember that now... We can do this, regardless of the outcome.  We can get through this. 

Thank you so much for all your kind messages.  It's so humbling to think about how many people love and care for Annie.  We have such kind friends, supportive family, and amazing Aicardi family!  You all help to lighten the weight on our shoulders.  We love and appreciate each of you.
